Charlotte Man Arrested in Connection with Quadruple Shooting
In a shocking incident that has left the east Charlotte community reeling, a man has been apprehended following a quadruple shooting that occurred on August 2.
Details of the Shooting
The shooting took place at a residence on Shamrock Drive, where police reported that four individuals were present at the time of the attack. It has been disclosed that the suspect, identified as Kevin Zetino, along with another accomplice, allegedly broke into the home with the intention of stealing over $1,400 in cash and at least one vehicle while armed.
Victims of the Incident
During the chaos, one victim, Jose Octavio Cruz, was tragically found dead inside the home, while three others suffered injuries. Two of the victims were located in the roadway, still in shock from the ordeal.
Police Investigation and Arrest
On August 6, following a thorough investigation, Zetino was arrested and now faces a multitude of charges including first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, multiple counts of robbery, felony conspiracy, and first-degree burglary. This marks Zetino’s fourth arrest since December 2023.
Current Status
Zetino is currently being held without bond as police continue to investigate the incident. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and help bring justice to the victims and their families.
