Respect Life Month Kicks Off in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE — Excitement is in the air this October as the Diocese of Charlotte gears up for Respect Life Month. On Sunday, October 6, many parishioners will gather to form Life Chains, a heartfelt initiative aimed at publicly showcasing their support for the dignity of all human life. These gatherings, which are a staple of the month, remind us all of the value and sanctity of life from its very beginning.
As the community comes together, they are also navigating the ongoing recovery from Tropical Storm Helene. Despite weather challenges, many are determined to partake in this annual event with renewed energy and commitment.
A Call to Action
Bishop Michael T. Burbidge of Arlington has addressed the importance of this month, stating, “{Jesus} calls each of us to respect that gift of life in every human person.” His message rings true throughout the community, emphasizing the need to protect those who are often marginalized in our society.
