The campaign aims to collect an impressive $500 million, emphasizing the university’s commitment to nurturing young professionals in the Charlotte area.

Organizers have specified that the campaign is focused on three primary objectives. The first goal centers around student success and opportunity. This includes creating avenues for hands-on mentorship, providing essential resources, and offering scholarships to support students financially.

Chancellor Gaber highlighted that a significant portion of the university’s alumni—between 60 to 70 percent—choose to remain in the local community after graduation. “We are a relatively young university,” Gaber stated, emphasizing the necessity for UNC Charlotte to increase its efforts in supporting students and contributing positively to Charlotte’s growth.
