Exciting News for Charlotte: American Engineering Expands Headquarters!
Charlotte, get ready to celebrate! Our beloved American Engineering, a local engineering firm, has just made some big moves to enhance its operations and expand its reach. This week, the company officially took occupancy of a shiny new office space in the breathtaking Everett Building located at 11525 N. Community House Road in the bustling Ballantyne area. With a whopping 10,850 square feet of fresh space, it’s the perfect upgrade for a company that’s been making waves in the engineering world.
A Decade of Growth
Scott Stone, the dynamic president and CEO of American Engineering, shared the excitement about the company’s new chapter. “We signed an eight-year lease on what used to be Extended Stay America’s corporate headquarters,” he explained. After spending a decade at their previous office at 8008 Corporate Center Drive and expanding at least four times during that time, he feels this move is a significant step forward.
Currently boasting a team of about 30 employees, Stone is optimistic about future growth, stating, “This is a step up from what our staff was using before and will help position us for the long term.” He envisions doubling the company’s size in the next few years and believes this new headquarters is just the start of an exciting journey ahead. “We feel like we’re just getting started, and this is going to help us get there,” he added enthusiastically.
Room to Grow
In a smart move, the firm has also secured the right of first refusal on the space next door, signaling even more potential for expansion. The opportunities seem endless for American Engineering as they settle into their new digs.
A Prime Location
What’s even more exciting is the fantastic location of the Everett Building. This impressive six-story, 154,000-square-foot office property is situated in the vibrant Ballantyne campus, which boasts a staggering 4.5 million square feet of Class A office space, medical offices, hotels, public parks, and even more stunning amenities.
One of the main reasons Stone chose this location is its proximity to The Bowl, a mixed-use development packed with new restaurants and retail shops. “We think the improvements made at The Bowl will be a huge positive for our employees and will help attract future talent,” he said. Stone believes that the timing of this move is spot on, as many amenities and restaurants are either open or nearing completion. “It’s getting ramped up to full speed,” he added with excitement.
