Charlotte: Cornelius-based Apotheca Dispensary is set to hold a celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new South End location, marking the fifth Charlotte opening since the business launched in 2019. With 37 locations across three states, this latest launch represents a notable milestone in Apotheca’s rapid journey towards business expansion.
The latest establishment, located at 3039 South Blvd., has already begun its business operations. Despite this, Apotheca’s owner and CEO, Lee VanTine II, decided to officially commemorate the opening with a Charlotte-based ribbon-cutting ceremony. According to VanTine, Charlotte holds a special place in the heart of the business, serving as its “hometown”.
In a recent announcement, VanTine remarked on the company’s swift growth, mentioning that this is their 37th store spread across three states, with over a dozen situated within the local area of Charlotte. Celebrations for the new opening are scheduled for noon on Thursday and will be marked with a special 60-minute sale offering 50% off all THCa flower and THCa disposables.
First launched in the Northern Mecklenburg town of Cornelius, Apotheca currently stands as a prominent chain in its industry. Following its mission to provide “a sustainable and reliable source of tested and trusted cannabis products in a comfortable setting,” the brand offers locations managed under the supervision of district managers across cities like Asheville and Atlanta.
According to the Apotheca website, this marks the 27th North Carolina location, with five more expected to open soon.
VanTine attributes the rapid growth and success of Apotheca to the unique atmosphere created by the staff across all locations. Unlike the common dark, dusty, and poorly managed dispensaries, Apotheca sets itself apart by targeting a mature clientele desiring a comfortable introduction to cannabis products.
The recent opening of its first edibles kitchen in Waynesville, which doubles as a retail location, is further testament to the growing consumer love for the brand. The CEO firmly believes that the subsequent locations in Charlotte will serve as a robust anchor for the business’s continuous expansion.
Like its predecessors, the new Apotheca outlet on South Boulevard will retail a diverse variety of cannabis, kratom, and mushroom products. The business also accommodates online orders via its website, offering free shipping for orders over $49, and requiring signatures for those exceeding $300. To ensure utmost product quality, all items sold through Apotheca undergo rigorous testing by independent third-party labs. Moreover, all Apotheca branded products carry a Certificate of Analysis, confirming their safety and authenticity.
