New Black-Owned Event Venue Opens in Charlotte

SPACES by Premier: A New Hub for Creative Events

A new, Black-owned event venue has recently made its debut in Charlotte, offering a unique space for a variety of gatherings and functions. SPACES by Premier, located at 3010 Monroe Road, Suite 203, is set to become a go-to destination for social and professional events in the vibrant city.

Driven by a Vision

Owner Martez Prince shared that the inspiration behind SPACES by Premier stemmed from his own struggles to find affordable and versatile event venues in Charlotte. With a background in pharmacy and entrepreneurship, Prince aims to provide a platform that fosters creativity, collaboration, and community engagement.

As the founder of the nonprofit Premier Foundation of North Carolina and a member of Sankofa Partners, Prince is deeply invested in the local community. He envisions SPACES as a catalyst for supporting budding entrepreneurs and small businesses by providing them with a welcoming and adaptable space to bring their ideas to life.

A Versatile Venue for Every Occasion

Spanning 3,000 square feet, SPACES by Premier offers a neutral backdrop that can be customized to suit a range of events, from weddings and corporate gatherings to art exhibitions and community meetings. The venue features a foyer for guest reception, a main room with high ceilings and exposed beams, and a host of amenities such as a dressing suite, prep kitchen, and state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment.

With a capacity of up to 150 guests (100 for seated dinners), SPACES by Premier is designed to accommodate various event configurations, including live music performances, fashion shows, and multimedia presentations. The venue also provides rental options for tables, chairs, and additional event services to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for every occasion.

Looking ahead, Prince envisions SPACES by Premier as more than just a venue—it’s a creative incubator where individuals can experiment, innovate, and connect with like-minded creatives.
