We’ve been roasting our own beans since 2012, and we’re Charlotte’s oldest coffeehouse! Smelly Cat is a small bistro that has been a fixture in the NoDa district for decades. It’s a fantastic location to have a tasty cup of our house-roasted coffee and a homemade bite to eat since it’s approachable and friendly.
We roast our own ethically sourced coffee and handcraft single-origin and blends during the season. We also make our own nitrogenated cold brew coffee from scratch. Roasting coffee is an art as much as a science, from seed to cup.
This coffee shop provides coffee and tea but also has a breakfast menu with buttermilk biscuits, other baked goods, and snacks prepared from scratch, as well as a cocktail menu with hot and cold spirits and a cold brew tap list.
