Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) announced Friday that all of its services will provide free fare service for Earth Day. On Monday, April 22nd, citizens won’t have to pay for many modes of public transportation that CATS offers, including light rail and bus routes.
“Sustainability is part of CATS’ strategic vision every day, making Earth Day an important time for us to celebrate with the greater Charlotte community,” a CATS spokesperson said in a news release. “Riding public transit is one of the most sustainable actions our community can take, and CATS is committed to providing the best service possible.”
Anyone with additional questions can contact CATS’ customer service at 704-336-RIDE (7433).
