In the bustling city of Charlotte, North Carolina, a significant crash occurred on I-85 South early Tuesday morning, leaving four people injured. The incident took place around 9:15 AM near the Beatties Ford Road exit.
Images from the scene depicted a chaotic aftermath, with a garbage truck and several vehicles tangled in the wreck. One vehicle sustained major damage, appearing to have crashed into a tree, while another was found overturned, resting on its roof.
The emergency medical service, Medic, reported that among the four individuals hurt, one suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The other three individuals sustained serious injuries as well.
In the immediate aftermath of the crash, three lanes were shut down, causing significant delays for motorists. However, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has since reopened the lanes, and traffic is now moving normally once again.
While the cause of the crash remains unclear, local authorities are likely to conduct a thorough investigation to determine what led to this alarming incident.
