City of Charlotte Opens Applications for Fire Recruit Program

The City of Charlotte is now accepting applications for its firefighter recruit program, offering individuals the opportunity to start a rewarding career in the fire service. The application period will remain open until April 10, 2024.

Benefits and Training

Selected candidates will be paid full-time employees with a comprehensive benefits package provided by the City of Charlotte from the first day of recruit school at the Charlotte Fire Training Academy. The recruit school, which lasts approximately six months, offers intensive training to prepare individuals for a successful career in firefighting.
