Three Charlotte Students Attend Prestigious Leadership Summit

The event, held at Walt Disney World, brought together exceptional teens from all over the country to learn, connect, and grow their leadership skills over a four-day period.
The Application Process
The Disney Dreamers Academy application process is highly competitive, with thousands of students vying for a spot each year. The selected students come from a diverse range of backgrounds, including nonprofit founders, high-achieving students, athletes, entrepreneurs, and more. Out of the pool of applicants, a panel of judges handpicks 100 students to participate in the summit.

Day Two – Parade of Dreamers
Day two featured a special parade at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, led by Mickey Mouse himself. The dreamers and their parents also engaged in various experiences designed to foster growth and learning.
Day Three – Living the Dream
Day three focused on living labs, where the student dreamers delved into hands-on experiences related to their interests, such as film, journalism, engineering, and culinary endeavors. The parents also had the opportunity to participate in discussions on parenting and supporting their children’s dreams.
Day Four – Making Dreams Come True
The final day of the summit was filled with surprises and dream fulfillments for the students. From trips to space centers to family vacations to Los Angeles, the dreamers left the event with new experiences and aspirations for the future.
Inspiring Future Generations
Reflecting on their time at the Disney Dreamers Academy, the students expressed their desire to inspire others to pursue their dreams.
