Reports indicate that she was violently attacked by 53-year-old Sam Roary Jr., who is facing a charge of first-degree murder. Law enforcement noted that Roary and Dixon were familiar with each other, though this incident was not deemed a case of domestic violence, and some attendees suggested that Roary was a co-worker of Dixon.
