Charlotte LGBTQ Victory Fund to hold training in Charlotte
The LGBTQ+ Victory Institute is bringing its signature Candidate & Campaign Training to Charlotte April 11-14 as part of its efforts to train a diverse pipeline of LGBTQ+ leaders to run for office and win.

Understanding how to develop a winning strategy that uses campaign tools effectively is what leads a campaign to victory. The Victory Fund’s four-day Candidate & Campaign Training provides comprehensive, non-partisan training to present and future LGBTQ+ candidates, campaign staff and community leaders. Participants will learn the necessary skills and strategies by engaging in tough, realistic campaign situations, and hearing from campaign experts.
Notable Success Stories
The LGBTQ+ Victory Fund has trained thousands of openly LGBTQ+ people on how to build winning campaigns. Among the success stories are former Houston Mayor Annise Parker, U.S. Congressman Robert Garcia, and Virginia State Delegate Danica Roem.
Application Details
In order to take part, interested individuals must apply by March 15, 2024, for priority consideration. The training program will run from Thursday, April 11 at 5:00 pm through Sunday, April 14, ending at noon.
To apply, candidates need to submit an online application on the Victory Fund website by the specified deadline. After the staff reviews the applications, participants will receive notice of acceptance and registration information.
Program Costs and Agenda
Program costs include $400 for all materials, training fees, food, and a shared double hotel room for three nights, or $675 for a private single hotel room for three nights. It is mandatory for program participants to stay at the host hotel due to long training days.
The agenda overview includes training sessions starting on Thursday evening, running from 5 pm until late night. Friday and Saturday will have training sessions from 8 am until late night, with Sunday’s training concluding at 12:00 pm.
