Person killed in east Charlotte shooting, police say
One person died at the hospital after a shooting in east Charlotte Sunday morning. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reported that the shooting took place on Kilborne Drive around 5 a.m. The victim was identified as 31-year-old Ramirez Fuentes.
Investigation Ongoing
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Fuentes with gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The police have launched an investigation into the incident, and Det. Fitch has been assigned as the lead detective on the case.

The authorities are requesting anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward. Individuals can contact the Homicide Unit detective at 704-432-TIPS to provide any relevant details.
