Charlotte Police Seek Help Identifying Suspect in Boost Mobile Store Robbery

Charlotte, N.C. (HERE NEWS) –

Detectives from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are seeking the public’s help to identify a man who stole cell phones from a Boost Mobile store in east Charlotte. The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 10, just before 3 p.m. at a Boost Mobile store located on Kilborne Drive.

Robbery Details

According to Detective Jacquelyn Clyburn of the CMPD Crime Stoppers, two men entered the Boost Mobile store, ordered employees to the ground, and proceeded to steal phones from the establishment. “It pains me to see it. These are small business owners just trying to make a living, and sometimes it affects the consumer,” said Detective Clyburn.

Clyburn mentioned that one suspect, Bryant Jackson, has already been charged in connection with the robbery. The thieves likely intended to sell the stolen phones due to their high resale value. “Phones are still popular, and the resale value is there,” she explained.

Appeal to the Community

Police are sharing surveillance images of the unidentified suspect in hopes that someone will recognize him and provide information to Crime Stoppers. Detective Clyburn encourages community members to exercise caution when purchasing phones from unofficial sources. “Please report it. I know you may think you’re getting a good deal, but let’s go about it the correct way,” she urged.

Investigators are hopeful that community members will come forward with information to identify the remaining suspect. Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. Tipsters can choose to remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to an arrest.

Additionally, individuals can submit tips about crimes through the P3 Tips app for added convenience and anonymity.

Conclusion

As Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police work to identify the suspect involved in the Boost Mobile store robbery, they rely on the support and cooperation of the community. By coming together and providing vital information, residents can assist in bringing the perpetrator to justice and ensuring the safety and security of local businesses.
