CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A major road in south Charlotte has reopened after a tragic accident early Tuesday morning that led to the loss of life. Westinghouse Boulevard, particularly between Granite Street and Commerce Boulevard, was closed for several hours after the incident.
The crash occurred just before 4 a.m. near the intersection of Westinghouse Boulevard and Granite Street, close to I-77. Eyewitnesses reported a minivan that sustained significant damage, indicating the force of the collision. Emergency responders were quick to arrive on the scene, but unfortunately, they confirmed that one individual lost their life.
