Two people were injured in a school bus crash in southwest Charlotte on Monday morning, according to Medic.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Tyvola Road and Tyvola Drive at approximately 8 a.m. Two individuals were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash. It is currently unclear whether the injured parties were occupants of the bus or in other vehicles involved.
Reportedly, the crash involved three vehicles in total. The school bus collided with one vehicle, leading to a subsequent collision with another vehicle that struck the bus.
More information regarding the crash will be provided as it becomes available. This incident adds to a recent string of school bus-related accidents in the Charlotte area.
This incident follows other recent incidents where school buses were involved in accidents. In a separate event, Medic reported that there were no injuries in school bus crashes in Charlotte.
