Gruesome Discovery in a Mobile Home Park

Christopher Carbhaal, a resident of a mobile home park off of Ann Elizabeth Drive, described hearing gunshots in the neighborhood. He mentioned that such incidents were not uncommon, but what followed was shocking.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department disclosed that a man’s body was discovered deep in the wood line, with the victim having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Major Torri Tellis confirmed that the victim was pronounced deceased immediately.

At this juncture, the motive behind the violent act remains unclear as investigators work diligently to gather evidence and piece together the sequence of events.

Wave of Violence Within Hours

Jacquline Lewis from the gun violence organization Angles of No Mercy expressed disappointment at the surge in violent incidents and voiced concerns about the upcoming summer.

The first incident unfolded along Hathshire Drive, where police responded to a victim with gunshot wounds who was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Subsequently, another attack occurred a few blocks away on Charidge Lane, where a victim was taken to the emergency room with serious stab wounds. While police investigating both incidents believe these crimes are connected, the exact link remains unclear.
