Charlotte residents can look forward to a wonderful workweek ahead, with variable clouds and a stray shower possibly greeting them on Monday morning as temperatures dip into the 30s and 40s. However, skies will quickly clear by the afternoon, offering cool sunshine and high temperatures in the 60s.
For those in the High Country, patchy frost and freeze are possible Monday morning as highs only rise into the 50s. The Piedmont and Foothills can expect highs in the 60s, with winds returning out of the southwest by Tuesday. Temperatures will respond accordingly, jumping into the 70s.
By Wednesday, Charlotte can expect high temperatures approaching 80º ahead of a cold front that arrives in the evening. While a stray shower or storm may pop up with the front, rain chances are not significant at the moment. Slightly cooler air will move back into the Carolinas on Thursday, although highs should remain in the 70s in the Piedmont and Foothills.
Looking ahead to the weekend, more clouds and a few storms may return as highs swell back into the 80s, setting the stage for a potentially warmer end to the month of April.
