Star-Studded Concert in Charlotte to Support Hurricane Helene Recovery
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Music lovers and supporters of community aid can look forward to an incredible evening of performances as a lineup of some of North Carolina’s biggest artists join forces for a special concert to benefit those affected by Hurricane Helene. The concert is aptly named “Concert for Carolina” and is set to take place on Saturday, October 26, at the iconic Bank of America Stadium.
A Concert with a Purpose
Headlining this remarkable event are legendary artists Eric Church, Luke Combs, Billy Strings, and James Taylor, all ready to raise their voices for a good cause. The concert is being presented by Explore Asheville, with every single penny raised going towards Hurricane Helene relief efforts across western North Carolina.
As if that wasn’t exciting enough, the concert will be hosted by none other than ESPN’s Marty Smith and Barstool Sports’ Caleb Pressley. There will also be additional artists joining the lineup, which will be announced as the date approaches.
The Generous Spirit Behind the Event
The idea for the concert began with a simple call to David Tepper, the owner of the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte FC, and Bank of America Stadium. According to the concert organizers, the Tepper family’s response was nothing short of inspiring. “The call to David Tepper and his wife Nicole was met with overwhelming generosity and decisive action,” they shared. “Without hesitation, the Teppers offered Bank of America Stadium as a venue, and everyone united to make this benefit concert a reality as swiftly as possible.” It is heartwarming to see such a strong leadership spirit in a time of crisis.
Tickets and Donations
Excited to join the cause? Tickets for the concert will go on sale starting Thursday, October 10, at 10 a.m. Be sure to grab yours quickly as they are expected to fly off the shelves given the incredible lineup.
Proceeds from the show will be split evenly between Eric Church and Luke Combs’ Chief Cares Foundation. Recently, Church made headlines by signing away the publishing rights to his new song, “Darkest Hour,” donating the gains to Hurricane Helene recovery efforts. Meanwhile, Combs’ share of the funds will support beloved organizations like Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank, and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, ensuring that help reaches those who need it most.
