After graduating, Daphane initially committed to Mississippi State, but her journey took her to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. It was there that she truly began to carve a path in college basketball. In her freshman year, she played all 24 games and averaged 15.7 points and 11.0 rebounds. White later transferred to the University of Houston, where she had a shorter stint, appearing in just 10 games. One of her standout performances included scoring 10 points and grabbing 7 rebounds against Auburn. Following her time in Houston, she made her way back to her roots, playing for Jackson State. At Jackson State, Daphane finally found her rhythm. She played in 31 games, starting in 15. Throughout her time there, she maintained an average of 10.1 points and 6.4 rebounds. White’s performance even earned her a spot on the Preseason All-SWAC Second Team for the 2023-2024 season. However, tragedy struck when she suffered an ACL injury, cutting her season short after just nine games.
