DMV Kiosks Now Available at Three More Charlotte Grocery Stores

Convenience at Your Fingertips

Charlotte, N.C. – Residents of Charlotte can now take advantage of self-service DMV kiosks at three new Harris Teeter grocery stores. This expansion enhances convenience for locals, allowing them to handle DMV transactions while grocery shopping.

New Locations Opened

The newly added kiosks are located in:

  • Quail Corners: 8538 Park Road, Charlotte
  • Town Center Plaza: 8600 University City Boulevard, Charlotte
  • Central Avenue: 1704 Central Avenue, Charlotte

These kiosks complement the existing kiosk located at the Harris Teeter in Riverbend Village (4701 Smith Farm Road), which has been operational since March.

What Services are Offered?

The North Carolina DMV introduced these kiosks to alleviate long wait times in traditional office settings and provide added accessibility. Initially, users could only renew or duplicate driver’s licenses or ID cards, as well as register to vote.

As of August 12, additional services have been rolled out, allowing users to:

  • Renew vehicle registrations
  • Pay property taxes on new vehicles

Upon completing a transaction, the kiosk will print a license plate sticker and a registration card.

More Options Across the State

In addition to the new locations within Charlotte, self-service kiosks can be found at several sites across North Carolina, including:

  • Raleigh: The Corners at Brier Creek – 4221 Corners Parkway
  • Raleigh: Village District – 500 Oberlin Road
  • Cary: Cary Village Square – 885 Walnut Street
  • Fayetteville: Highland Centre – 2800 Raeford Road
  • Fuquay-Varina: Fuquay Crossing – 1371 East Broad Street

Final Thoughts

With the addition of these kiosks, Charlotte residents can enjoy more flexibility and efficiency in managing their DMV needs without the hassle of long waits. This initiative demonstrates a commitment to improving public service accessibility and convenience.
