Charlotte Unites for Hurricane Helene Relief: Join the Supply Drive on October 8th

Charlotte Rallies Together for Hurricane Helene Relief

Hey there, Charlotte! As many of you know, the recent impact of Hurricane Helene has been tough on our brothers and sisters in Western North Carolina. It’s heartbreaking to see communities facing such challenges, but the good news is that we have an opportunity to step up as a caring community. Grab your favorite snacks and let’s chat about how you can help!

Join Us for a Supply Drive!

On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 6 am to 4 pm, Beasley Media Group will be hosting a donation drive right here in our charming city! They are located at 1520 South Blvd., Charlotte, NC, and we invite you to drop by and show your support. It’s so easy, and every little bit helps!

This is not just any donation drive; it’s a drive-through event! That means you can simply pull up, drop off your supplies, and be on your way. No hassle, no stress – just a simple way to lend a helping hand.

What You Can Donate

You might be wondering, “What kind of supplies should I bring?” That’s a great question! We’re encouraging everyone to think about some basic necessities that can really make a difference during this time. Here are some items that would be super helpful:

  • Canned goods – non-perishable food items are always needed.
  • Water – clean drinking water is crucial, especially after a natural disaster.
  • Household supplies – think toiletries, cleaning supplies, and first-aid kits.
  • Blankets and warm clothing – with cooler weather approaching, extra warmth will be appreciated.
  • Baby items – diapers, formula, and other baby essentials.

It’s easy to forget how much something as simple as a can of soup can mean to someone in need. So grab a few extra items the next time you’re at the store!

Partnering to Support Those in Need

Beasley Media Group is teaming up with Lincoln County Emergency Services to ensure that all donations go directly to those impacted in Western North Carolina. These local heroes know the areas best and will help get the supplies where they’re needed most. Together, we can really make a difference!

Let’s Come Together!

It’s moments like these that remind us of the strength of our community. We often talk about “Southern hospitality,” and now is the perfect chance to extend that notion to our neighbors who are facing tough times. Whether you bring a truckload or just a single bag, your contribution matters and will definitely help someone in need.

Don’t forget, you can also listen live through the Beasley Media Group app wherever you are. This way, you can stay connected and updated on the latest happenings, including the donation drive. Who knows? You might find inspiration from stories of resilience and hope from those directly affected by the hurricane.

So, mark your calendars for October 8th and get ready to lend a hand. Let’s get together as a community, show our support, and help each other out during this difficult time. Be friendly, be generous, and let’s show what Charlotte is all about!

See you on Tuesday, and thank you in advance for your kindness!
