Big news in Charlotte, North Carolina! The 42-story residential tower at the Queensbridge Collective development has officially topped out, marking a significant milestone in this ambitious project. Developers Riverside Investment & Development Co. and Woodfield Development, along with general contractor Clark Construction Group, have successfully completed the tower’s structural framework, paving the way for an exciting new addition to the skyline.

Crowning Glory in the Queen City

Located at 1111 S. Tryon St., at the intersection of South Tryon and Morehead streets, the Queensbridge Collective is set to transform the area, creating a bridge between the bustling Uptown and the dynamic South End neighborhoods. With a total investment nearing $700 million, this luxury high-rise aims to elevate both living standards and lifestyle options in Charlotte.

Once completed, this remarkable tower will stand as the second tallest residential building in the Carolinas, just shy of the famed VUE Charlotte, which boasts 51 stories. The tower will house an impressive 409 market-rate apartment units, featuring a well-thought-out mix of living options:

  • 36 studios
  • 219 one-bedroom units
  • 128 two-bedroom homes
  • 26 three-bedroom units

Luxury Living Designed for Comfort

Residents can expect nothing less than the highest quality finishes. Apartments will come equipped with deluxe kitchens featuring full-size appliances, stunning waterfall countertops, and modern Euro cabinets. The spacious units will offer ten-foot or higher ceilings and sophisticated closet systems, with many boasting outdoor balconies or terraces that provide breathtaking 360-degree views of the city.

But that’s not all! More than just a place to live, the amenity space spans over 90,000 square feet, with more than 2 acres dedicated to indoor and outdoor fitness, recreation, and entertainment facilities. It’s a true lifestyle experience waiting for Charlotte’s residents.

Retail Options for Every Taste

The development doesn’t stop at just residential living. Plans for retail offerings include popular names like Night Swim Coffee, which will open its doors on the ground floor later this year. Additionally, the renowned Guard and Grace, a modern American steakhouse from the TAG Restaurant Group, is set to debut a spacious 10,224-square-foot location on the 10th floor by mid-2026. Overall, the retail space will expand to nearly 30,000 square feet, inviting a mix of local and national brands to cater to various tastes.

Looking Ahead: More Development on the Horizon

Personal comfort is just the beginning at Queensbridge Collective. Initial occupancy for the residential units is anticipated by the third quarter of this year, with hopes for full completion extending to the end of 2027. In addition to the residential tower, developers have bold plans for a 35-story office tower that will offer approximately 600,000 square feet of space, with groundbreaking for the office expected later this year.

This ambitious endeavor is a collaborative effort involving Riverside Investment & Development Co., Clark Construction Group, and design partners Goettsch Partners. It’s their fourth successful collaboration over the past decade, showcasing their commitment to transforming cityscapes one project at a time.

With all these exciting developments in the pipeline, the Queensbridge Collective is set to become a cornerstone of Charlotte’s swiftly evolving skyline, merging luxury living with convenience, community, and innovation!
