Charlotte, get ready for some delicious news! If you’re a fan of burgers and sliders, you’re in for a treat. Smalls Sliders, a fast-growing burger joint that’s making waves across the country, has just signed a deal to open a whopping 12 restaurants in the Charlotte area. Yes, you heard that right! This burger brand is setting its sights on serving up mouthwatering sliders to all of you in Charlotte and surrounding towns.
The mastermind behind Smalls Sliders, which originally opened its doors in 2019, is Brandon Landry, who is also the guy behind Walk-On Sports Bistreaux. With big names like Drew Brees, the former NFL star, backing this venture, it’s no wonder that Smalls Sliders is gaining such popularity. The first Charlotte location is expected to pop up by the end of 2025, marking the beginning of a new burger era for the city. Can’t wait that long? Well, the good news is that the plan includes locations in nearby cities like Matthews, Pineville, Indian Trail, Monroe, and more!
So, what makes Smalls Sliders so special? The answer lies in their incredible menu. The brainchild of Smalls Sliders is their delightful cheeseburger sliders – each slider is topped with a 100% beef patty, melted American cheese, a pickle, and their oh-so-tasty Smauce, all nestled in a fresh toasted bun. For those with a bigger appetite, they offer the “Biggie Smalls,” which doubles up on everything! Plus, who could resist their scrumptious waffles fries, served with or without a drizzle of queso?
Another exciting aspect of Smalls Sliders is the way they build their restaurants. They use modular orange-and-black shipping containers, which can be transformed into vibrant eateries complete with kitchens, drive-thrus, and even patios! This means that the time from delivery to opening can be a lightning-fast 10 weeks. Imagine driving past and seeing a new burger spot pop up almost overnight!
Your taste buds won’t be the only ones benefiting from this expansion! The franchise group, BM Sliders LLC, which is based out of Greensboro, is also planning to set up nine additional locations in Raleigh, showing their commitment to bringing quality dining to North Carolina. With hundreds of restaurants either currently open or in the works under their umbrella, the investment to start one Smalls Sliders restaurant ranges between $1.3 million and $1.78 million, alongside a franchisee fee of $35,000 for the first unit.
While burgers are the star of the show, Smalls Sliders doesn’t stop there. They offer a delightful expansion of flavors with a menu that also includes a grilled cheese option and classic milkshakes available in chocolate, vanilla, and cookies-and-cream! Plus, for those gatherings with friends, you can order party packs of sliders to share the love (and the deliciousness)!
As the excitement builds, the people of Charlotte can look forward to enjoying the tasty meals that Smalls Sliders has to offer in just a couple of years. While specific locations haven’t been announced yet, the journey is just getting started for this colorful and flavorful brand. So keep your eyes peeled and your cravings ready friends, because Smalls Sliders is coming to Charlotte, and you won’t want to miss it!
