This year, the Piedmont train schedule has been adjusted to make it easier for fans to arrive at Bank of America Stadium in time for the big game. The train that will make your life easier is Piedmont train 73, which will now leave Raleigh Union Station at an earlier time on six game days: September 15, September 29, November 3, November 24, December 15, and December 22. Make sure to mark these dates on your calendar!

For those eager to enjoy an early start and soak in all the pre-game festivities, you have two fabulous options to get to Charlotte in time for the 1 p.m. kickoff. First up, you can take Piedmont train 71, which makes stops in Cary, Durham, Greensboro, and Kannapolis, reaching Charlotte at 9:28 a.m. This train allows you ample time to grab a bite to eat or maybe catch a glimpse of some warm-up activities!

If you prefer a slightly later departure, Piedmont train 73 will get you to Charlotte by noon. This train is a little more convenient if you’re coming from Raleigh, leaving at a crisp 8:40 a.m. along with stops in Cary, Durham, Burlington, Greensboro, High Point, Salisbury, and Kannapolis. You’ll have time to settle in and get excited about the game.

Head Back with Convenience

After singing “Sweet Caroline” and watching the Panthers battle it out on the field, it’s time to head back to Raleigh. The good news? The Piedmont trains have you covered for the return trip too! You can catch Piedmont train 76, which departs Charlotte at 5:30 p.m. This train will stop at several places on the way back, including Kannapolis, Greensboro, Durham, and Cary, finally whisking you back to Raleigh by 8:29 p.m. Perfect timing to unwind after a thrilling game!

If you’re looking to make a night of it, you might also consider catching Piedmont train 78, leaving at 7:45 p.m. This train stops in Salisbury, High Point, Greensboro, Burlington, Durham, and Cary before arriving in Raleigh at 10:52 p.m. Just be sure that your team brings home a victory to make the ride back even sweeter!
