CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Former President Donald Trump is set to speak at the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) next week during their fall meeting in Charlotte. The event, scheduled for Friday, September 6, is expected to draw significant attention as Trump discusses key issues facing law enforcement.
Patrick Yoes, the National President of the FOP, expressed enthusiasm about Trump’s upcoming visit. “President Trump led our nation admirably through some very tough times,” Yoes stated. He emphasized the importance of Trump’s leadership during his first term and noted, “As he seeks election to a second term, we think it’s important to have him join us to talk about all of the issues facing our profession.”
The National Board of the FOP, which includes a seven-member Executive Board and National Trustees from all 46 State Lodges, is looking forward to Trump’s insights. “We are eager to see President Trump again after meeting with him at Mar-A-Lago earlier this year,” Yoes added. The meeting is seen as a vital platform for officers to voice their concerns and share experiences with a candidate they feel has been a strong ally in the past.
As Trump prepares for this significant appearance, the discussions are anticipated to cover various topics affecting law enforcement, including safety, community relations, and funding. Officers are hopeful that Trump’s perspective will provide clarity and direction on the pressing issues they face every day.
With excitement building, the FOP remains committed to advocating for the needs of rank-and-file officers and looks forward to a fruitful exchange during Trump’s visit.
